Dear Valued Client:
On October 1, 2015, the healthcare industry is transitioning from ICD-9-CM to ICD-10-CM. This transition is required for all providers in every health care setting and everyone covered by the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA). Diagnostic Pathology Medical Group will be ready to receive ICD-10-CM coding information and to submit claims using the new ICD-10-CM coding.
As of October 1, 2015, it is imperative that DPMG receives a proper
ICD-10-CM on all orders to assure that no claim is denied. Any claims for services provided September 30, 2015, or earlier must use ICD-9 codes, even when billed after October 1, 2015.
For your convenience, we have added common ICD-10 codes to our cytology requisitions. Please let us know if your office needs updated requisitions.
Please let us know if you need additional information on diagnosis codes. For more information regarding this change, please visit http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/icd10cm.htm or www.cms.gov/icd10.
