Client Liaison position opening

DPMG is seeking to expand our sales team. The Client Liaison position will be expected to develop new business by increasing specimen volume, and maintain all existing business from among physicians and other clients within the territory. The Client Liaison will work closely with multi-specialty physician offices, outpatient surgery centers and clinics. The territory covers parts of the greater Sacramento area, Solano and San Joaquin counties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Drive sales through pre-call planning, post-call analysis and consistent follow-up.
Cold call new, prospective clinicians and upsell current clients.
Prepare and present proposals.
Identify and pursue opportunities for new relationships with insurance companies/HMO’s/IPA’s.
Identifies barriers to expand business. Develop and implement strategies to overcome those barriers.
Provide overall support and expertise to existing clients and builds and maintains close professional relationships with key account persons.
Visits each established client depending on the particular needs of the office/client and/or specimen volume referred.
Provides ongoing education to clients related to products and services available through DPMG.
Works with various servicing departments to help troubleshoot and resolve client concerns or problems.
Produces clear, concise and meaningful management reports detailing sales and client maintenance activities.
Functions as a liaison between DPMG clients and pathologists to ensure that the quality of service is optimal at all times.
Participates as DPMG’s representative at various meetings and conferences as necessary.
Demonstrates a professional, efficient and courteous manner when working with potential and established clients.
Keeps up to date with current insurance contracts and the types of specimens DPMG is contracted to process.
Stays informed at all times about the competition in the area, i.e. turn around time of reports, service offerings, pricing, etc.
Works closely with the Client Services department to ensure that client addresses are current, supply orders are filled, and any special client needs are met.

Regular, predictable attendance is required.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; and one to two years related sales experience; or 5 years of related sales experience.


Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with physician clients.

Ability to read an interpret documents such as contracts, rules and regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.

Familiarity with medical terminology

Knowledge of Healthcare industry

Previous healthcare sales experience preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc.

Candidate must have residency in close proximity of territory

A valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record in good standing
