Among DPMGs pathologists are several female pathologists with specialized training
and expertise in the diagnosis of diseases affecting women or of special importance to
women.
We have particular expertise in the areas of breast pathology, gynecologic pathology,
pediatric diseases, fine needle aspiration (FNA) of the breast, endocrine and
female urinary tract disease and Pap smear cytopathology, including both conventional pap
smears and the ThinPrep Pap test.
DPMG maintains three community FNA clinics (Roseville, midtown Sacramento and Davis) to
serve women needing fine needle aspiration biopsy. Dr. Andrea Ong would be happy to see
your female patients preferring that their breast FNA be performed by a woman.
Our female pathologists are available to answer your questions regarding the diagnosis
of diseases unique to your female patient population.
