DPMG’s superior quality histology services enable pathologists to make their diagnoses with a high degree of confidence. We offer a wide range of conventional as well as immunohistochemical stains, and have the ability to perform immunofluorescence stains on frozen tissue. We have consistently maintained CAP accreditation and rigorous quality assurance measures are continuously applied to all laboratory operations.

  • Over 30 special stains for structures and organisms, including many silver stains
  • May Grunwald-Giemsa stain for bone marrow smears and fine needle aspirations
  • PAP stain for conventional and ThinPrep gynecological samples; also for ThinPrep samples of a wide variety of body fluids
  • Christmas Tree stain for spermatozoa in forensic smears

Our wide array of cell markers (currently over 75 antibodies) aids pathologists in:
  • Classification of a majority of poorly differentiated malignant tumors for optimal treatment
  • Classification of lymphomas and leukemias
  • Identification of infectious agents (CMV, herpes)
  • Measurement of oncogene overexpression (Her-2 neu)
We can also work up antibodies provided to us for testing and research purposes.

DPMG’s information system interfaces with several acute care hospitals, making the review and correlation of inpatient and outpatient pathology findings both timely and convenient.

DPMG clients may view their patient’s pathology reports and diagnostic images by accessing our secure, password-protected web site.

Sutter Medical Foundation physicians may also access their patients' pathology reports via the EpicCare, EpicWeb and Shipper information systems.

DPMG pathology reports for Quest Diagnostics clients can be accessed either through the DPMG web site or through the Quest Diagnostics Results On-Line portal.
